Titan Transit had been waiting in the wings the entire time.
A national transportation conglomerate.
Deep pockets.
Expensive consultants.
A plan to acquire Rourke Regional Mobility and convert it into a multi-state platform.
Gavin told the court the acquisition proved his financial strength.
He did not mention the closing documents required clean ownership certification.
He did not mention the founder shares.
He did not mention my signature.
The deal could not close without me.
That was why he needed the divorce fast.
That was why he needed me financially weak.
That was why he needed custody pressure.
That was why he needed the public to believe I was a dependent homemaker with no claim beyond support payments.
When Titan’s executives learned the original ownership records were disputed, they requested a private meeting.
Beatrice advised me not to attend.
I attended anyway.

Titan’s lead negotiator began smoothly.
“Mrs. Bellamy, we respect your history with the company.”
“My ownership,” I corrected.
He paused.
“Of course.”
I placed the first route binder on the conference table.
“This company began because vulnerable people were being left without rides. If Titan wants a platform that cuts unprofitable routes and keeps only polished contracts, you do not want my signature.”
The room quieted.
He said, “That may reduce valuation.”
“Then reduce it.”
He studied me.
“You’re willing to walk away from a major liquidity event?”
“I already walked away from a man who thought my children were brand assets. Money is not my hardest decision this month.”
Titan withdrew the original acquisition proposal.
Two weeks later, they returned with a minority investment offer, employee protections, community route guarantees, and recognition of my controlling interest.
I did not accept immediately.
I took it to the depot.
To the board.
To the route planners.
To the people who knew the roads.
