Every stolen dollar had been recovered.
The company's employees received long-overdue bonuses.
Charitable programs Eleanor had quietly canceled were restored.
Richard publicly stepped down as chairman and appointed Ava as the company's new CEO.
During her first press conference, a reporter asked,
"Mrs. Ashford, what changed everything that night?"
Ava smiled softly.
"It wasn't courage."
"It was a choice."
"A choice to say one simple word."
"No."
The room fell silent.
She continued,
