Chapter 6 - EVAN TURNED ON THEM

Evan Pike broke first.

Not morally.

Strategically.

His attorney negotiated cooperation.

He turned over the original recording.

Full length.

Three minutes and forty-eight seconds.

I never watched the entire thing.

I watched enough with my attorney to confirm what happened.

Then I stopped.

The recording captured Tyler speaking.

Grant laughing.

Evan filming.

Me saying no repeatedly.

The threats.

The restraint.

The clippers.

Everything.

No ambiguity.

Evan also disclosed a group chat.

Tyler had written before entering the storeroom:

Bet I can make waitress girl cry in under five.

Grant:

Do it.

Evan:

Film or it doesn’t count.

That sentence traveled through the case like a knife.

Film or it doesn’t count.

Their cruelty needed an audience.

May you like

Ironically, the audience became evidence.
