Part 3: The Boardroom Overrun

The executive boardroom at Carter Logistics was suffocatingly quiet when the clock struck nine the next morning.

Raymond Reed sat at the head of the mahogany table, wearing a custom-tailored suit and an arrogant smile that didn't reach his cold eyes.

Natalie stood beside him, her arms crossed defensively, her eyes fixed on the empty chair opposite her father.

"Ethan is absent," Raymond announced, looking around at the silent board members. "Under section four of the syndicate charter, we move for an immediate asset liquidation."

"The liquidation is denied, Raymond," my voice boomed through the speakers as the double doors behind him clicked open.

I walked into the room wearing a clean, dark suit, followed immediately by Naomi Pierce, my senior financial attorney.

Naomi carried a sleek black folder containing the certified forensic audits we had completed at midnight.

"You didn't freeze my shipping routes, Raymond," I said, sliding the data drive across the glass table.

"You simply activated the automatic fraud override system I installed in the Delaware shell company three years ago."

The main projection monitors on the wall lit up instantly, displaying forty pages of unredacted transaction summaries.

Every single offshore transfer Raymond had used to cover his gambling debts was listed in perfect, chronological order.

"The money you used to finance your daughter's lifestyle didn't come from your real estate firm," I continued, looking directly at Natalie.

"It came from a secondary construction fund you stole from my father's old estate."
