Part 7: The Terminal Seizure

By 6:00 p.m., the main shipping office at Pier 14 was surrounded by local compliance enforcement vehicles.

They had arrived to force an emergency cargo release before the federal asset-seizure notices could register on the terminal docks.
"This restriction is a direct violation of international trade law!" the lead counsel yelled through the glass barrier.
"My client has exclusive title to these logistics lines, backed by a verified state treasury waiver!"
"The waiver carries a structural defect, counselor," I said, stepping out of the shadows of the loading bay.

Marcus Bell stepped up beside me, sliding a certified copy of the master harbor covenant onto the service counter.
The digital monitors above the terminal lanes suddenly shifted, flashing red text as the automated gate locks engaged.
