Chapter 9 - Whispers in the Snow
The wedding took place on a private coastal estate in the Hamptons, overlooking the sparkling blue waves of the Atlantic Ocean under a clear summer sky.
White roses and fresh greenery lined the long wooden aisle stretching across the manicured cliffside lawn.
As the string quartet began playing a soft, romantic melody, the heavy oak doors opened.
I walked down the aisle, holding a bouquet of white peonies, my heart beating with pure, radiant happiness.
At the end of the aisle stood Elias.
He wore a sharp black tuxedo, looking impeccably handsome, his eyes locked onto mine with a look of such overwhelming love and devotion that every fear I had ever known melted into nothingness.
Clara and Ellie walked ahead of me, scattering white rose petals onto the grass, giggling as guests smiled warmly at them.
When I reached the altar, Elias stepped forward, taking my hands into his. His fingers were warm, strong, and steady.
"You are breathtaking, Ava," he whispered, his dark eyes shining with tears.
The marriage officiant spoke words of love, resilience, and second chances, but all I could hear was the beating of Elias's heart as we exchanged our private vows.

"I promise to give you my heart, my devotion, and my love for the rest of my days," I replied, my voice filled with unwavering conviction. "You saved my life, Elias, and you gave me a future."
