Chapter 10 - Sovereign Horizon

The fallout from Gabriel Thorne's arrest triggered a massive, historic short squeeze. As news of his illegal manipulation spread, investors rushed to buy back my company's stock, driving our share price to an all time high within forty eight hours. Valhalla Capital was completely liquidated by regulatory authorities, and the fraudulent debt claims concocted by Arthur Sterling were permanently erased by a federal judge.
My voting control over the company was cemented beyond any future challenge. I used the momentum to establish a permanent corporate trust that guaranteed seventy percent of voting rights would remain indefinitely with the core founding team, ensuring that no predatory investor or corrupt family could ever threaten our work again.
Six months later, on a warm summer evening, Camille and I stood on the open air terrace of our foundation's newly expanded headquarters in Manhattan. Below us, the lights of the city sparkled like a sea of stars. Inside the glowing glass pavilion behind us, hundreds of young entrepreneurs, survivors, and advocates were celebrating the launch of our new seed fund designed to help female founders retain majority control of their ventures.
Camille handed me a glass of sparkling water, leaning against the marble railing beside me.
"Julian's final appeal was denied today," Camille said softly, looking out at the skyline. "And Arthur was transferred to a maximum security facility for attempting to contact Thorne's overseas associates. They will never leave prison."
I took a slow sip of my drink, feeling the cool evening breeze against my face. There was no anger left in my heart, no fear, and no lingering shadow from that terrifying night in the penthouse boardroom. The Sterlings had tried to break my body, steal my mind's creation, and reduce my life to a financial bailout for their greed. Instead, their violence had forced me to forge an unshakeable armor.
"They thought they were destroying my life when that glass broke," I said quietly, looking at Camille with a warm, genuine smile. "They didn't realize they were just breaking my chains."

Camille raised her glass, clinking it against mine. "To the empire you built, Elena. And the freedom we won."
We turned back toward the bright, warm lights of the reception hall, stepping into a future defined by absolute strength, unwavering purpose, and a legacy that belonged entirely to us.
