Chapter 8 - The Singapore Sting

With the knowledge that Thorne was using fraudulent, unverified drafts to manipulate the stock market, Camille and I set a trap. We knew Thorne was operating through a network of shell accounts managed out of Singapore to conceal his illegal short positions and market manipulation.

Camille volunteered to fly to Singapore alongside Marcus, posing as an independent venture capitalist interested in liquidating a massive block of distress shares. Using her deep understanding of aristocratic financial networks, Camille secured a private meeting with Thorne's chief financial officer, a corrupt banker named Chen.

Inside a high end conference room overlooking the Marina Bay, Camille placed an encrypted flash drive on the glass table.

"My client holds seven percent of Elena's company," Camille said, her voice dripping with aristocratic confidence. "She is terrified of the stock crash and wants to exit her position quietly. We know Valhalla Capital is buying up proxy votes. We will sell you our voting block at twenty cents on the dollar, provided you pay us through your primary Singapore entity."

Chen examined the data on the drive, his eyes lighting up as he saw what appeared to be exclusive board level access codes. Eager to secure the necessary voting majority before the annual shareholder meeting, Chen executed the transfer immediately, routing fifty million dollars through Valhalla's primary Singapore trading desk.

He had no idea that Marcus had embedded a tracking beacon inside the digital transfer.

Back in Seattle, I watched my monitors light up as the beacon traced the transaction straight through Thorne's hidden offshore accounts. In a single stroke, we obtained undeniable digital proof that Gabriel Thorne was personally funding the market manipulation, shorting the stock through illegal shell entities while publicly claiming to be a neutral investor.

"We have him," Marcus declared, hitting the final command key. "We have every transaction, every offshore account, and every bribe he paid to financial journalists to publish the fake patent report."

I picked up my phone and dialed the director of the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as the lead agent at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. "Agent Vance," I said, "I have the complete digital ledger of Valhalla Capital's illegal short ring. Get your team ready."
