Financial tracing eventually showed that substantial marital funds had gone into Whitmore Holdings.
How much could legally be recovered, characterized, or offset became a matter for lawyers and the court.
Not my personal vengeance.
The cleanest evidence involved Emma’s education money.
Jason had no convincing explanation for why funds intended for her future were routed into Carol’s company without discussing it with me.
The property itself did not magically become mine.
Real life is not that neat.
But the transfers became part of the financial accounting in the divorce.
Carol could no longer say:
“That money is gone.”
Money leaves trails.
The Richmond property had equity.
Whitmore Holdings had assets.
There were records.
For eleven months, they assumed moving money made it invisible.
It did not.
