Chapter 13: The Infinite Reign

Two years later.

The private gardens of the Rossi Estate in upstate New York were in full, glorious bloom. The sprawling, historic stone mansion sat on three hundred acres of pristine, heavily guarded land, surrounded by towering oak trees and a massive, crystal-clear lake.

It was a sanctuary built on the foundation of an unbreakable, immortal empire.

I sat in a plush, white wicker chair on the expansive stone patio, sipping a cup of chamomile tea. The morning sun was warm, casting a golden glow over the manicured lawns. I was wearing a simple, elegant white silk sundress, my hair falling in loose, natural waves over my shoulders.

Suddenly, a chorus of wild, joyous laughter broke the tranquil silence.

From around the corner of the hedges, a tiny blur of energy came sprinting across the grass. Leo Rossi. Our son. He was a year and a half old, possessing a head of thick, dark hair and his father’s piercing, intelligent eyes. He was completely fearless, raised in an environment of absolute security and unconditional love.

Behind him, walking with effortless, predatory grace, was Nico.

He was dressed in casual linen slacks and a dark fitted t-shirt that highlighted his muscular frame, looking devastatingly handsome. The ruthless billionaire who made global markets tremble vanished entirely the moment he scooped his son up into his arms.

Leo shrieked with laughter as Nico tossed him gently into the air, catching him securely against his broad chest. Nico pressed a kiss to the boy's cheek, his dark eyes shining with a profound, peaceful pride.

Nico walked over to the patio, setting Leo down near a pile of expensive wooden blocks, and dropped to one knee beside my chair. He rested his hands on the armrests, leaning in to press a slow, deeply anchoring kiss to my lips.

"The Mayor called this morning," Nico murmured, his voice a warm rumble against my skin. "He wants to know if we are backing his re-election campaign."

"Tell him we will review his voting record on corporate tax exemptions," I replied lazily, running my fingers through Nico’s silver hair. "If he steps out of line, we will fund his opponent and ruin his career."

Nico chuckled, a dark, rich sound that vibrated with absolute worship. "Ruthless, my Queen."

"I learned from the best," I smiled, looking into the eyes of the man who had helped me burn down my past and build a limitless future.

I looked out over the sparkling lake, watching our son play safely on the grass. The chaos, the betrayal, the tear-stained moments in that hotel room a lifetime ago—it was all gone. Burned to ash. The ghosts of Liam, Amber, and the weak girl I used to be were completely eradicated.

From those ashes, I hadn't just rebuilt my life. I had forged a dynasty.

Nico stood up, pulling a chair close to mine, and sat down, taking my hand in his. He traced the heavy, flawless platinum diamond on my ring finger, his thumb resting over my pulse.

"You gave me a life I didn't know I deserved, Luna," Nico whispered fiercely, his eyes intensely focused on mine. "You gave me a soul. You gave me an empire. And you gave me a true son."

"We built it together, Nico," I replied softly, my heart swelling with a love so deep it defied every law of nature. "And no one will ever tear it down."

"Never," Nico swore, his voice a deep, resonant vow. "You are the sky. And I will spend the rest of eternity watching you soar."

He kissed me again, a consuming, passionate promise in the warm summer air. The King and Queen had firmly taken their thrones. Our enemies were in ashes, our empire was untouchable, and the reign we had unleashed on the world would echo through eternity.

The dynasty was secured, and the Rossi legacy was absolute.
