Two weeks later, the federal judge delivered the final statutory consequences from behind his massive oak bench.
He looked down at Daniel and Gloria Brooks without a single shred of human compromise or corporate sympathy.
"Your behavior represents the absolute worst of professional entitlement and domestic cruelty," the judge stated flatly.
"Daniel Brooks, you are sentenced to fifteen years in a federal penitentiary without the possibility of early parole."
