Part 4: The Post-Assault Injunction

The paramedics carefully rolled me through the penthouse lobby, the white-hot agony in my ribs keeping my breathing shallow.
By the time the ambulance reached the hospital, my legal team was already shifting the financial architecture under Daniel's feet.
Because the penthouse, the asset accounts, and the commercial holdings were registered under my maiden name, Chloe Bennett, the protective orders were absolute.
My lead corporate attorney, Marcus, walked into my recovery room on Saturday morning, holding an encrypted digital tablet.
"The temporary restraining order has been signed by the Dallas County family court, Chloe," Marcus announced with cold precision.
"Daniel Brooks has been banned from entering any property owned by Bennett Holdings, and his corporate credit lines are frozen."
"And Gloria?" I asked, a tight, cold smile touching my lips as a nurse adjusted my clinical monitoring equipment.
"Gloria was physically escorted out of the building by our building security at 3:30 AM," Marcus replied, showing me the log logs.
"She spent the night in a luxury hotel downtown, trying to call the senator, but her private bank card was declined at checkout."

Daniel had spent three years assuming I was just a passive, submissive wife who would tolerate his public humiliations and arrogance.
He had completely forgotten that before I ever married him, my family built the very commercial real estate empire he was trying to leverage.
