With Daniel and Gloria behind bars, my first move was to execute a total cleaning of the corporate board at Brooks Development.
Because my investment fund, Bennett Holdings, owned fifty-four percent of the voting equity, the transition was completely legal.
I walked into the executive boardroom on Tuesday morning, my white-hot rib pain managed, wearing a sharp tailored navy business suit.
The board members sat in absolute, sweating silence as I took my place at the head of the long polished obsidian table.
"Effective at the opening bell this morning, Daniel Brooks’ executive credentials have been permanently revoked," I announced flatly.
"Every commercial guarantee he forged against my name has been formally declared null and void under the fraud provisions."
