Before the sun went down on Monday afternoon, the state prosecutor expanded the criminal net to include Daniel’s mother.

Her laughter, her shouting “Get out of my house!”, and her calculated attempt to hide the laptop were legally defined as obstruction and conspiracy.
Two uniform detectives walked into the lobby of the high-end hotel downtown where Gloria was frantically trying to clear her bags.
"Gloria Brooks, we have a warrant for your arrest regarding corporate fraud and complicity in a violent felony," the detective announced.
Gloria shrieked, her expensive silk dress wrinkling as the detectives forced her arms behind her back with practiced efficiency.
"Let go of me! My son is an executive! This is a domestic misunderstanding!" she screamed, her voice echoing off the lobby marble.
