"Then why are you here?" Alejandro choked out, tears of frustration welling in his eyes.
"I came to collect our father's final legacy," Julian said, pulling a small silver key from his pocket and tapping it against the glass. "Valentin didn't keep all his assets in Bank Account 409, Alejandro. He was far smarter than you gave him credit for."
Alejandro stared at the silver key. "There's... another account?"
"There is a second vault," Julian confirmed, his voice dropping into a chilling whisper. "A vault that contains the true deeds to every property Elena Montes thinks she owns. The ones her forensic accountants missed."
Alejandro’s eyes widened in realization. "She thinks she won... she thinks she's free..."
"She won a battle against a dying old man and a weak brother," Julian said, standing up from his chair and buttoning his jacket. "She hasn't met the new head of the family."
"What are you going to do to her?" Alejandro asked, a mixture of fear and twisted joy flashing across his face.
Julian smiled, looking down at his pathetic half-brother through the glass. "I'm not going to hurt her, Alejandro. Physical violence is so unrefined. I'm going to take everything she loves, piece by piece, until she comes begging for mercy."
"Take her son," Alejandro urged maliciously. "Take Nicolás."

"Nicolás is a Vance," Julian replied coldly. "And when I am finished, he will come to me willingly."
Julian hung up the receiver, turned on his heel, and walked out of the visiting room, leaving Alejandro banging his fists against the glass, screaming into the empty air.
